Harpley Village Website

Welcome to the website for the village of Harpley in Norfolk (the UK one!). This site is intended for the local community, to share information and news, but also to show others something of our village. On one level, having a web-site is almost a form of vanity publishing; no self-respecting village, company or person can be without one these days. On a more serious note, a village website can provide an important means of communication; both within the village community, and to inform outsiders about the village. For outsiders, it’s not likely that visitors to the UK from, say, Saskatechewan, would be impressed enough by the site to alter their travelling arrangements, although you never know, but it might provide useful information to people within the region, and for those with relatives and friends overseas. However its main function will presumably be for people in the village and immediate area. The links on the left will take you to places of interest; the village sign will bring you back to here.
